PAYDAY: The Heist

I've been making PDTH mods for about two years now (since 2023), most unreleased.

MODS:

(only the notable ones)

Pre-Release Overhaul (released)

Pre-Release Overhaul is a mod aimed at recreating old PDTH while also adding new content,

The mod took about three days to make but was released way later. I think I was also the first to ever restore Secret Assignments.

frustration: as of Sep. 16 2025 there is no way to load non-custom packages/units so I will have to find a way on how to add the drill into Heat Street

Editor (untitled and unreleased)

I am somewhat proud of this one. The mod makes it so if you launch the PDTH .exe with the launch option -editor it will load a heist and attempt to restore the Overkill editor functions. I was able to restore the original camera functions, the plan was to try make a PDTH mission editor (similiar to PD2's BLE) but I later "gave up" on it.

Manhunt (unreleased)

Manhunt (inspired by the real Manhunt) was a mod where players were assigned roles.

The Hunters: Have to find The Hunted and eliminate them.

The Hunted: Have to hide and do objectives in order to escape.

All maps were set at night and were essentially just reskins of the base PDTH heists although with all objectives removed. The mod also featured custom OST (stealth and combat music), it also featured: stamina, crawling, flashlight toggling, real life gun behavior (jamming, accurate rate of fires, firemode switching...etc.), extremely loud gun sounds (video taken outside of the mod. the sounds were made by me. weapons would also do a lot of damage so you would die in under five hits), etc...

The mod was finished and the people who I played it with enjoyed it, but I decided to never release it.

Meleeman (unreleased)

Very simple, shooting was rebinded to meleeing. was fun though

Trepid(ation) (unreleased, i also got called a cheater because of this mod)

Maps took place at night with custom environments and only cloakers would spawn (with random speeds and health). The mod was fun and people enjoyed it as well but it was never released for a list of reasons (which i will not state.). Manhunt re-used some of its code.

qLta (unreleased)

An experiment I did for fun, meant to be a mod inspired by KSP where you would build a spaceship and then go to space.

Diesel Flight Simulator (unreleased)

Another experiment for fun. Was interesting and started off (and ended) as a joke, the world of-course isn't the real size and it's flat, it's just a picture of earth on a flat plane. don't mind the fact there are clouds.......

I had learnt a lot about Diesel and Payday itself during these two years and I would say it was fun.
